We inform users of the Electronic Invoice System (SEF) that on August 8, 2023, version SEF 3.4.4 will become available in the demo environment ( https://demoefaktura.mfin.gov.rs ), in which, among other things, the validation of the number of decimal places in the unit price of goods or services in electronic invoice items will be changed.

As of version 3.4.4, it will be possible to express the specified data by entering up to four decimal places.

As previously announced, version 3.4.4 will be in production on August 11, 2023.

Important note for all users using the Electronic Invoice System via the Application Programming Interface (API):

The above change applies to the following API endpoints for sending invoices:
/api/publicApi/sales-invoice/ubl/upload
/api/publicApi/sales-invoice/ubl

When sending an XML invoice to these endpoints, the aforementioned numerical value is entered in these lines in the UBL:

  • /Invoice/cac:InvoiceLine/cac:Price/cbc:PriceAmount (for documents: Invoice, Debit note and Prepayment)
  • /CreditNote/cac:CreditNoteLine/cac:Price/cbc:PriceAmount (Credit note)

In case the entered value contains more than 4 decimals, the user will receive an error message: "Invoice line price amount has more decimals than permitted".

We specifically point out that it is necessary to adapt users' ERP systems so that they do not limit the unit price in items to two decimal places.

There will be no changes in all other value entry fields - in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on Electronic Invoicing, data on other amounts may be expressed with a maximum of two decimal places.

Important: after implementing SEF 3.4.4., numeric values in lines in UBL will remain validated to a maximum of 2 decimal places, as in the current version of SEF:

  • /Invoice/cac:InvoiceLine/cac:Price/cac:AllowanceCharge/cbc:BaseAmount (for documents: Invoice, Debit note and Prepayment)
  • /CreditNote/cac:CreditNoteLine/cac:Price/cac:AllowanceCharge/cbc:BaseAmount (Credit note).
